.Mafory Nick Temple. a future admiral, joined the class along with Heaton Nash. who made his presence known that year largely because he held the key to that priceless retreat. Sherwood Forest. Though the second form saw no growth in the size of the class. it did see a growth in reputation. This fame resulted from the methods adopted by the class in its frustration of the progressive techniques introduced by two Harvard educational experts who quickly retired to Laputa. The second forms fierceness was checked when in the third form. 'iCra- dle-robbern Baskett, Casinoi' Clark. i'Razor Edge, and 'iXVings Yeerhoff arrived. The final additions were made in the fourth form year. That man-about-town. Al Elbrick, and Frank, the Debutantef, XVeller came to give Mclassw to our class. George NIL-Ceney cycled in. attired in black leather jacket and motorcycle boots. Bill Poulton gained fame from his imitation of YVupy Foo Bradshaw. Racket- wielding YVilt volleyed ln to bolster the tennis team, and the class of 1955 was complete. As we look over the last ten years. we can cite with amazement the classis outstanding characteristics. XVe have a range in academics that defies the best slide rule artist. in athletics from the fiercest to the gentlest of mortals. in loquaciousness from those who can't stop talk- ing to others who have never been heard to utter a Word, in disposi- tion from those who pet Copper to others beside whom Garibaldi would seem a conservative - thus the class of '-56. a heterogeneous group. Yet it is unified in its loyalty to Landon and appreciative of the years spent under the banner of the Brown and XVhite. Hes! .-Uliletc' .Vos-I Iintertzlirzing HAL 5? Bob goes into a somnolence which some explain is induced hy his exertion in walking between classes, hut which others. more cynical, claim is a result of his inherent laziness.
