Her innumerable contributions and sacrifices have made Landmark Christian School a reality. The Torch Staff is proud to dedicate the 1975 Torch to Mrs. Harold Rawlings. 22 I'Mr. Kaith Clark, High School Principal Administration 23 24 The high school English classes are taught by Mr. and Mrs. Bogan. They each teach a class of sophomore English. Mr. Bogan also instructs the seniors and Mrs. Bogan teaches the junior English class. Mrs. Bossert teaches the junior high English classes. a 5 I I i g. a , .54 $ F oreign Languages Foreign languages are taught by Mrs. Began, who gIaduated from U .C. with a BA degree. The languages include first and second year German and Spanish. and second year French. 25 History Mrs. Bossert. who graduated from U.C. . teaches jr. high American history. MI. Dykes. who graduated from U. K . and is now working on his Master's at Xavier, teaches Ohio history , American history. Govt. IUSSR, and World history in the jr. high and secondary levels. 26 c! Seventh and eighth grade Bible is taught by Mrs. Aven. Secondary Bible is taught by Mrs. Rawlings, who also is the Coordinator for the Bible curriculum, K-12 . 27 Mr. Kilgore, who graduated from U .C . , teaches the two seventh grade math classes. The eighth grade math and one Algebra I class is taught by Mrs. Smith. .3 Xavier graduate. Mrs. Baird, who teaches the higher math classes which are Algebra I. Algebra II, and geometry, received her B.A. at U.C. 28 Mathematics 29 30 Science Seventh grade science is taught by Mr. Bogan, a graduate of U.C. and by Mrs. Fowler, a graduate of Rio Grande College, who also is working on her Master's at Xavier. In addition, Mrs. Fowler teaches secondary health, and biology. Mrs. Rawlings, a graduate of Bob Jones U . , teaches eighth grade science. Ninth grade general science is taught by Mrs. Smith, who received her M.Ed. from Xavier. Mrs. Baird. who received her BA in Math at U. C. , teaches secondary biology, physics. and physiology . 31 32 Home Economics Home Economics is taught by Mrs. Aven. who attended Baptist Bible College and is now working on her BA degree at Temple Baptist College. Commercial Accounting and Typing are taught by Mrs. Stewart, who received her B. S. from Bethany Nazarene College. The Learn came in 2nd in the Dayton Christian Christmas Tournament, defeating Center- ville Miami 64-52. before losing to the host 7046. The Eagles knocked off Indian- apolis Baptist, who were unde- feated in ten previous games, 52-43. They also completely demoralized Dayton Christian with a 77-54 victory, a team LandmaIk had found trouble beating in the past. The JI. Varsity under Coach Kilgore also had a fine year.
