SLOOP RALPH Rrrcnns I Annns lwima Ovencixsu 34- 35 Testament on this the 26th day of April, 1938. Seminar Clllass Bunn Classmates, as we part forever And on life's sea prepare to sail. Pause and ask yourself just whether You will succeed, or you will fail. As we join the throng of workers Out in the busy world alone May we not be known as shirkers, But all our labor be well done. Though our lives be filled with sorrow And all our days be lilled with pain. Hope for the dawn of tomorrow And happiness will come again. v, As we travel life's broad highway, Though it may ever lead uphill, 1 May we enter not one byway, And if we fall be fighting still. School days-not the welcome ending Of all our labor and our strife But a step that leads on, blending Into a greater, broader life. Onward, upward l Let our motto Be to you an inspiration, . Through the sunshine and the shadow It will help us build a nation. Our days in school our hearts shall bind, On these our thoughts shall ever dwell, But now we leave you all behind- So, classmates, dear, we say farewell. -J. L. SLOOP Class Poet page sixteen I 9 3 8
