Can all this ever apply to my vocation practically. . . . We must prepare today. . . . Tomorro v dare not find us lacking. Raspberry or vanilla? It really doesn ' t matter very much. Make mine vanilla. Ahvays there are choices. Some don ' t matter at all, Like the i ell- vorn drugstore question. There are others, Choices that can spell the difference Between chaos or creation. And neglect of a choice Is in itself a choosing. There are aimed vords like swift, barbed arrows Or soft syllables that salve the arrow wounds: Then there are the words not spoken. Through laziness, boredom, or unconcern— The meaningless silences Neither hurting nor healing— These are most deadly of all. The narrow road leads to heights Well worth the climbing. And the broad road slants sharply do vnward; But the broadest road Curves pleasantly along the level fields, Where men forget To lift their eyes to God-lit heights Or lower them To fearfidness of dcmon-hatuited depths. Choice is microscopic. And choice is ast as infinity— Atom-sized, And atom-powered— The handclap of a moment Echoes forever do vn the long valley of eternity. Choice is complicated as a tangle of steel wires, Again, it is simple- Confusion or Christ? And to neglect tiie clioice Is in itself a choosing. —A. Grace Wenger. He has served as student pastor and taught several Bible classes. He has served as pastor of Paradise Church and has sened on many conference committees. He has held over thirty series of evangelistic meetings. Bro. He shares his concerns in his challenging chapel messages. Bro. V ' eaver is a self-educated man who reads widely and is well informed. Gardening at his home in Paradise, Pa., is one of his hobbies. 49 NOAH G. GOOD 2180 Millstream Road Lancaster, Pennsylvania During the eighteen years of L.M.S. existence, Bro. Noah Good has been here to guide students with troublesome cur- riculum problems. Besides serving as dean, Bro. Good teaches Spanish I and II, German I and II, and First Aid. Youth, ambition, hope, and honor Urge-US on to wealth and fame, But we want to choose the pathway That ' ould honor Thy dear name. ' Softly comes the Master ' s answer In a voice so strong and clear, Children, be my faithful servants, And leave all that you hold dear. Trials, challenges will face you, If you ' re willing to obey, To leave all and follow onward In the strait and narrow way. To the faithful I have promised Untold blessings, untold love. Entrance to the heavenly portals And the shining courts above. I may call you to the cities Over land, o ' er the seas. But remember what I ' ve promised. And leave all to follow me. Chapters in our lives are closing O ' er our school years s viftly gone. Sweetest mem ' ries ne ' er forgotten Through our lives shall linger on.
