Our churches and our school have emphasized the happiness of walking with Christ. Nevertheless, we all must constantly make our own decisions concerning Christ and His church. As we go forth in life, we will continually be faced with trials and temptations. But if we put our trust in Christ and yield to His will, He will help us overcome every obstruction that would hinder our walk on the straight and narrow way. Even though we have completed our high school education, life is a continual learning process. Daily we must study God's Word and use it as the basis for our convictions. As we fellowship with God each day, we must remember that to go Forth in Our Master's Willl' we must give up our selfish desires and yield our all to Christ. -ERNEST S. Dear Seniors: You have now achieved a major accomplishment in your life and are to be congratulated. One of the major features of this achievement has been the acquir- ing of skills and the self-confidence needed to complete successfully a task. With- out these acquired skills and the resultant self-confidence they beget, you may well be dismayed as you face a future with its many and diflicult tasks. But with them the challenge of difficulties is a welcome one and we face them with a certain amount of anticipation. For who wants to lead a dull and dispassionate existence with no opportunity to prove his mettle. May you have, under the lordship of Christ, a happy, profit- able, and interesting life. AMos W. Much of what you have done in school so far will be useful to you in more Ways than you now realize. Active learning and maturing does not end with the last day of formal education in school. The subjects and lessons that you studied in a formal way in school will be the tools and methods with which you gain and give out information in your less formal activities in later life. We sincerely hope that your school experience has made you more fit to appreciate life, and to contribute to the lives of others. Above all, we sincerely hope that it has helped you to live a God-honoring life. NOAH G. Coon CLYDE B. To the Graduating Class of 1959: It is with personal appreciation for each one of you that I express to you my best wishes upon the attainments which you have reached and for your future ideals for your life. There will be many times in your life when it will be- come necessary to reflect upon your past life and to think carefully about new decisions which you will need to make for the future. To acknowledge the Lord and accept His guidance in some of our ways does not go far enough in our devotion and dedication of life to Christ. The greatest promise and assurance for a useful life was given by Christ Himself when He promised to direct our paths if we ac- knowledge Him in all our ways. To do this brings us peace in our inner life. C. B. STONER J. IRVIN LEHMAN Route 6, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania JOHN R.
