MR. E, DAWSON, Superintendent To the Class of 1966: Congratulations to you collectively and individually upon completion of your high school education! NOW WHAT? In contemplating your future life, these things come to mind: Your average age should now be eighteen years. You can look forward to a normal life span of some fifty- two more years. It will be 2018 A.D. when you reach your seventieth birthday. Wlrat will the world be like then? How many of you will have become world travellers or even space travellers? What kind of education will you have need of, then? If the next fifty years bring as much change as the past Hfty, will you be able to keep pace educationally, socially and spiritually? If the contemplated revolutionary changes increase many-fold in all fields of human experiences, what then? I think the answers must lie in the field of faith and an all-out intensive preparation for XVhat-ere-Betide . You must devote the next few years ofyour young lives to this end. There are still unchangeable bedrock foundations upon which we must anchor our lives: Faith in God, Faith in the right, and Faith in a Divine Purpose for our lives. Bon Voyage! 9 S S 3 9 fi gif! r i I1 C i a s W- MRS. BILLIE SMITH Secretary to the Principal MR. W, W. ALFRED Principal This TIGER TALES of '66 is a small but important recording of the trials, tribulations, labors and laughter of the students of Lancaster High School. I congratulate the staff for their arrangement of these memories. To the members of the Class of '66, you could look upon this volume as the final chapter in the book of knowledge and accomplishments, but in reality it is the introduction to a more challenging and exciting series of books that may well require a lifetime of work, sacrifice and study to complete. To all of you, whether you stop at the preface of Volume I or continue throughout the set, my best wishes and prayers for a useful, complimentary and satisfying venture. My compliments and congratulations to the entire student body and faculty for doing, in most cases, more than was asked required or requested. What we have done today will be reflected in the eyes of tomorrow. I trust we will always strive to make L.H.S. a better place to work, live, and grow. .JKJA
