Of course we have lost a few, but then we have gained a few, too. In September the Freshmen elected Clarence Goggans, president, and Sammy David- son, treasurer. After this meeting we went to our respective homerooms where we elected a vice president, a secretary, a reporter, a student council representative, an annual staff representative, and a Red Cross representative. This year the Freshman Class entered a car in the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, made nutcups for Red Cross, and nominated a candidate for the Sweetheart Dance held on February 9, 1957. Melinda Robinson, our candidate, was elected sweet- heart. The Freshman Class has an annual outing, which this year was a swimming party held on May 23, 1957, at Waxahachie.
