Steve Hinesley, Harold Tarr, Bob Harter, Ann Reber, Joan Smith, Don Jines-, Marilyn Snyder, and Jack Kahn were waiting to finish the trip with us. y, Mrs. Cochran was serving dinner in the dining car to the third grade. Keith Zirkle, Lloyd Herndon, Betty Jines, and Alice Harris were already there eating a late breakfast. Irene Bertsch, Diane Faus, Lee Ann Hite, Harold Tarr, Mac Neff, Bob Harter, Rose Perry, and Anita Mendez were hungry so they were left behind to eat an early dinner. In the pullman car, Carolyn Wolf, Bob Nash, Marilyn Tarr, Janette Kruetzman, Joyce Manning, Dixie Mclntosh, Cheryl Smethurst, and Don Heche were found oversleep- ing, so they joined us. Cheryl Smethurst and Don Heche were sleepy so when Mrs. French woke the rest of us up, she left them sleeping there. Ann Oddson, Arlene Cormany, Eva Bailey, and Virginia Macias were found in the lounge car. Lloyd Herndon and Ann Oddson got off the train. Mrs. Bennett led the rest of us on. Keith Zirkle, Eva Bailey, Joyce Manning, Arlene Cormany froze in the refrigerator car. Frieda Brickly and Natividad Torrez joined us as Mr. Shady pushed us on to the next car. As Mr. Caldwell herded us through the stock car, he found George Ramsey, Betty and Donald Jines, and Frieda Brickley got left as we stopped to take on fuel. The fruit car was the scene for taking on DeWayne Strahm and Doyle Harnish. Dixie McIntosh, and Jack Kahn were hungry so they stopped to eat a bunch of grapes as Mr. Sauter directed us to the next car. The only new one to start the trip with us on the ninth car was Bessie Vanover, who was peering into the tanker. Natividad Torrez and Ann Reber had to transfer to another train. Mrs. McKeefer and the rest of us waved farewell to them as we continued to the j next car. 1 In car No. 10, we were joined by Rose Perry, Goldie Hollopeter and Keith Zirkle only to have Carolyn Richards and Goldie Hollopeter leave us at the end of the car. We had Mrs. Gaiser and Mr. Mugg to direct us through cars 10 and ll. In Car 11, George Ramsey and DeWayne Strahm left us. Doyle Harnish got off the train to join the Air Force and Rose Perry left us to marry Dennis Lobsiger Norma Johnson joined us.
