I think we had a somewhat successful year, even though we didn't do all we wanted to. The things we did do were really successful, thanks to my helpful fellow officers, the advisors, principals, and especially the class itself, who made things happen. I'd like to see our class become one of the better classes to go through LHS, and from what I’ve seen so far, we have a super chance for having people remember the Class of 79. The officers of the Sophomore Class, Junior Class, Senior Class, and Stu- dent Council are members of this committee. These stu- dents meet with the high school principal for the pur- pose of reviewing problems seen from the students' standpoint through direct communication. The P.O.S. Committee enables students to have a close contact with the school administration. The P.O.S. Committee maintains a close contact with the superintendent, who originally started the organiza- tion. The committee has been responsible for effecting many improvements at Lancaster High School throughout the past six years.
