V ith the passage of each succeeding V year the urgency and impact of the world situation becomes more and more pronounced. These ramifications are now being felt most definitely and decidedly in our nation here at home. Never has a generation been faced with a more critical challenge. It is a generation which will be looked to for answers and for directions. It seems to appear that these challenges become more critical by the hour and answers and solutions must be found. The educational opportunities afforded each and everyone in this school system have been designed to lay the foundations for a strong and fortified citizenry. It is always a concern that the students leaving these halls of learning today have acquired the basic concepts necessary to grow in wisdom and stature. The youth of our nation has always provided the best in leadership and solutions and there should be no question that this will again, in fact, be true. At the 1967 commencement Mr. Brown challenged the graduates to find places of service in a complex society. LHS baseball fans.
