This concern cannot diminish for the problems growing out of the social, economic, and political disturbances of the 20th century make man- datory a continuous search for greater excellence in American secondary education if we are to survive and prosper in the great competition among nations for leadership, markets, and the minds of men. It is up to you, the class of 365, and the classes that will follow you 'in the next few years, to accept the challenge of your generation, to continue the search for excellence, to determine that the leader- ship of the United StatesJ in all phases of World Affairs, shall not falter.
