irage TODAY AND TOMORROW The passing decade has served to emphasize the Vital necessity of preparing men to live With men in our world today. Even as these words are being written, the urgency of the times is underscoring and giving new interpretation to this idea. Tremendous . speeds, guided missiles, and satellites have caused the world to become so small that a seemingly insignifi- cant border incident on the other side of the globe can be most significant to us and to our future. The schools of today are preparing the leaders I. E. Brown of tomorrow. It is imperative that we produce men Superiritendent of Schools and women of quality. These times demand of us an understanding of the forces moving our world today. If man can meet and win this Challenge, it will of necessity be done by an educated and enlightened mind. Our schools and their educational programs serve as the means to develop and formulate this maturity and stability. Herein, lie the hope and salvation of the world. Walter F.
