PROM: SOME ENCHANTED EVENING The imaginary moments of Some Enchanted Evening took place in a softly lit courtyard of a mystic castle. The atmosphere of stately, stone pillars in the midst of billowing clouds removed the dancing couples to a land of kings and queens and enchanted evenings. The courtyard was enhanced by delicate wrought iron furniture in the stone paved colonnade which enclosed the garden. The path from the colonnade led to the throne room where the King and Queen would reign. ln the center of the terrace was a majestic portico surrounded by a garden of pink shrubs and pastel trees. At the height of the evening the royal court was pre- sented by Master and Mistress of Ceremonies, Bob Luckey and jane Kinney. The court of Ann Hoskins es- corted by Danny Skaife, Nancy Wright escorted by Terry Budd, Anne Zellinger escorted by jim Becker, and Nancy Udelhoven escorted by Pat Paulin witnessed the corona- tion of Queen Susie Griswold and King Larry Irish. Now think how unusual it is that in the midst of all this insanity one girl should remain quite normal and fall in love with her bosses son. Placing all these characters in one situation is destined to be humorous. And it was in the three -act play You Can't Take It With You. 5
