The members are receiving valuable experience in leadership as they work out the problems and policies involved in school activities. The largest project sponsored by the student council this year was the carnival. The council also compiles all activity points and, on this, awards school letters. Other projects of the coun- cil are sponsoring noon movies and the annual spring clean-up day. 8 STUDE T COU CIL Junior Legislators in Session -Degtei. nd lplel-ta X ne terson Shifley Tigtfzirien Lund: DM e Pe 1 1 ane Carlson, Bar:::l8MaUs0m Georgina 1-rr Ralph N0'dmeity1ilevfeSen'atwi3 Braid cormie Huw' Barbara Peterson, President. , gf ,x 2 if if QL P ff, ', fl 'L Z! Their dramatic talent first came to light in a skit given the night of the carnival, an intel- lectual piece of work entitled Ghost Town, U. S. A-H Their class play, Aunt Cathie's Cat, was directed by Mr. Robert Hed. In happy harmony, the industrious juniors went to work on their Prom and Banquet plans. 20 Mia - ' A 3 5 rm , .,yf fF f b P ' his '- If K I xg -A we. - 'T '+dfs......Ll, 'Aiisaii-3 2 E u Gp' c.-:::- Oli xx - r- ffA l ' Ng N X, LEFT TO RIGHT: Marlene Glad, Yvonne Davis, Curtis Cedergren, J. After getting settled down, we had a class meeting. First we elected officers, which are as follows: President Darrelyn Lindstrom Vice President Clarice Larson Secretary Yvonne Davis Treasurer Dennis Glad Reporter Marlene Glad Student Council Ralph Nordine Betty Beck Advisor Mrs. Provance The main event of the year was initiation. The freshmen came to school dressed in many different kinds of costumes which varied from bathing suits to storm coats. During the day they had to carry books, sweep floors and polish shoes. In the evening each one had to do a stunt in front of the assembly. The freshmen were glad that at last they were full fledged freshmen. Gordon Hammefsuom' N Orm an v man. lem! ' UDP Wilson.
