Experimentation and observation. 22 Science Research Class By attending the Saturday morning re- search classes, many students greatly augment their scientific knowledge. Choosing individual research projects, these pupils conduct their own experi- ments under the direct guidance of our science teachers, and may then enter their finished work in the Annual Science Congress. This group has also gone on field trips that have ranged from nature walks at Akron and Lackawanna to the U.B. trip, concentrated entirely on chem- istry. With its varied program of rescarch and field trips, the Saturday science classes not only increase a student's knowledge, but also his discriminative ability.
