TO LEARN Classes classes classes They seemed never endingl We learned quickly that shorthand would have been helpful so that we could take notes feverishly. As if by fate, several tests always seemed to occur about the same time, our beds were no longer used for sleep- ing, but rather for studying. Window sills and chairs held the overflow from our sag- ging bookcases. Each year found us in the labs fha iv learning new procedures. Needles, syringes, catheters, stethoscopes, and bed pans became important tools of our profession. The pursuit of learning is a continuous process. Medical knowledge and nursing experience requires perseverance.

T0 GROW . . . Our probie days will never be forgotten! For most of us, nurses's training was our first ex. perience in living away from home. New friends were made and we soon realized that studying was essential to earn our nurse's cap. Our junior year found us helping to deliver babies, setting up O.R. tables, getting experience in psychiatric nursing at Wernersville, and working with sick children. . . . Finally our black stripe-we were seniors! We had experience in clinics, in the Emergency Room, in Intensive Care and in Public Health. As we graduate, we look back on the past three years and realize that our formal instruction has come to an end, but for us, it is only the be- ginning. 5 . '-N, ,.,., V A xx l f t, ,QL 'E f-5
