Fannie, the first of the Miller duo hailing from Ohio, has proven herself an asset to the class of '52. Her outstanding scholastic standing has received recognition upon many occasions. Besides this at- tainment she is also a very capable, efficient and dependable nurse. Generous, cheerful and optimistic, Fannie's cha- racteristic giggle can be heard through the many halls of 519 . She is one of the eager participants of the frequent discussions held there. Much of Fannie's off duty time is occupied with sewing, baby-sitting, reading, and hiking. When- ever a helping hand is needed in any class function, Fannie is always ready to give her assistance. Whether you go back to Ohio, Fannie, or remain with us, we wish you the best from life-always. ALTA MARTIN Martin Rohrerstown, Pa. Laugh and the World Laughs With You. Alta, with her deep bass voice, has a gift for getting the most downcast, weary patient to smile. Her ready sense of humor and gay attitude make her a welcome addition to any group. Martin can well be called the Milton Berle of our class, for whether on duty, in the nurse's home, or even reciting in class, she has everyone in gales of laughter. Aside from her gaiety, Alta also possesses a deep sense of responsibility for those under her care. Generosity, sincerity, loyalty, and dependability are a few of the attributes which make Alta so well-liked by everyone. She enjoys gab sessions, telling jokes, days oi, and vacations. Of course, itls Betty! Her jovial personality has made her a fav- orite of many. Whe1'ever you find her you'll find fun, for she's usually the life of the party . Since she is gifted with a valuable sense of humor plus the spirit of thoughtfulness and sacri- fice, it is only natural that her bedside manner is tops. 'When you think of Betty you will recall two things-her pretty hair and those light blue eyes. In general she likes swimming, hoagies, and Abe, but frequently you may find her taking snapshots, driving B, J. Jr. or playing pinochle. Lights! Action! Flash! PHYLLIS MURR Phil Quarryville R. D. 3, Pa. I do but Sing Because I Must. Sleepy Time Gal --that's Phil! This little habit has gotten her into loads of jams, especially in the classroom. However, it certainly hasn't interfered with her scholastic standing. Those expressive eyes and exclusive way of wearing blue jeans are her trademarks. She possess- es may good traits: dependability, cheerfulness, adaptability and friendliness are only a few of these qualities. Phil can be funny but serious, slow yet sure-she's just our Phil. During her leisure hours she enjoys eating pretzels or apples while writing to that special fellow. She also likes to listen to the radio, read a goodbook, drive her Dad's car and work on the family farm. Her pet peeve is Tuesday night chorus practice. May l?'hil's future years be full of hap- piness. LENA MILLER Lena Rittman R. D. 1, Ohio What Sweet Delights ci Quiet Life Oyfers. Seamstress par excellence, firm booster of tra- vel-by-air trips and possessor of an unshakable loy- alty to her home state-this is Lena. Besides sewing, her interests include dramatics, painting and music. Lena is a lirm believer in her own convictions and can be a very forceful speaker. Her generosity is evident when those all important boxes from home arrive. If you're ever near Rittman, Ohio-just a little off Route 30-stop in and see us . Do those words sound familiar?
