A pet expression is, 'foh you, and she usu- ally means that roommate of hers. To keep in her good graces, always be on time . We wonder how she keeps that girlish figure because at almost any lunchtime we see two salads and two desserts crowded on her tray. Leaman, how do you get past the dietition at the end of the line? Lois is a rare combination of scholastic ability and manual dexterity coupled with a sunny dispo- sition guaranteed to brighten many a dreary day, A. VIOLA LANDIS Toad Lancaster, R. 5, Pa. As Full of Spirit as the Month of May. Did you ever hear why patients get well so quickly at L.G.H.? It's because of.Toad, a very eficient nurse who has all the patients laughing from morning till night. Always happy and cheerful, she greets every one with that Hi Kiddo which is characteristic of her friendliness. During her 'fhours off, Viola can be found talking on the telephone or writing one of her volumes to John. Who is John? If you have an hour or two, she'll tell you all about him. That identifying laugh reveals an energetic and vivacious personality-Lou. Ardent in her loyalty to E-Town and the Navy, generous in friendship, and always willing to take a dare-these are all descriptive of Louise. She is meticulous in her grooming and is a devotee of the latest fashions, displaying an innate sense of style. Off duty, Lou enjoys knitting anything from argyles to sweaters, eating, seeing the latest movie, joining a good gripe session at 519 and writing that daily letter to a certain sailor. A glance at her left hand shows a sparkling ring, indicative of a domestic future. Lou has proven herself to be a capable nurse with a real interest in her patients. Ruthie's spontaneous smile, jovial personality and animation account for her optimistic outlook on life. However, through all of this gaiety, she is unquestionably staunch, conscientious and sincere in all she does. All types of sports rate a standing in her likes but tennis and ice skating are her specials . As one of the original five on the third Hoor of Brinton Home, it is certain that Kling is not just a spectator, but is usually one of the instigators of the merriment and laughter there. At Byberry she was known as one of the triplets . Her strong alto voice is also a contributing factor toward mak- ing hers a well rounded personality. LEIBLEY Pat 1117 Frances Ave., Lancaster, Pa. A Little Nonsense Now and Then is Pleasant. Pat, our conniving class comedienne, and one of Jerry Lewis' close rivals, is the naughty nymph of the class of '52, If times seem dull and dis- couraging, chat with Pat and you will hear the amusing side of life. With her ready-to-go and carefree manner, the Unpredictablen will be found doing almost any- thing at any time. She has a knack for getting one out of bed at any time of day for nightj. Among Pat's pastimes are reading love com- ics , sleeping, and experimenting with new jokes. She's very sociable and quite a conversationalist- to the extent that one must fall asleep before she takes the hint to leave. Her love for good times prompts her into making any occasion turn out to be a rip-roaring event. In her more serious moments, Pat is a com- petent and dependable nurse, lending a helpful hand whenever she can. Her A-1 disposition makes friends easily, and undoubtedly Pat will be a success at anything. BETTY JANE LEFEVER B. J. R. D. 1, Strasburg, Pa. Wit Tips Her Tongue VVhene'e1' She Talks. Betty Jane, more commonly known as B.J. , may. appear quiet on the surface but we all know shelis Just the opposite. As you become better ac- quainted with her youlll find a gal packed with fun, Jokes, and laughter. She has a carefree man- ner but she can be serious as well. i Her favorite off duty past time is dating Jim and she may appropriately be termed as Jim's Gem . B.J. is often seen industriously knitting land rippingb her argyles. She believes in combining fun and gaiety with her work on the wards. Betty Jane possesses athletic ability, lots of brothers and sisters, a cute little '4pug nose, and a winning personality. Her unselfishness and sunny disposition have made her a friend of all who know her.
