The first meeting was held to select the officers. The following persons were elected: President, Richard Iretonl Vice-President. Harold Dunifon: and Secretary- Treasurer. Martha Eaken. During the year. the Student Council sponsored several activities. such as the annual athletic banquet for the basketball squad, teams were chosen to play vollev ball. and ping-pong playing is usual. He keeps our school clean and our trees and shrubbery trimmed. Mr, Mat- thews lived on a farm up until 10 years ago. He was superintendent of the Van Wert County fair grounds for six years, For three years he was mail messenger between the post office and the Pennsylvania Railroad depot.
