J is for Jane, our six foot two, lt wen't be long 'til she says I do, K is for Kiefer, so little and short, Who considers giggling a very good sport. M is for Mayer, so slender and tall, And also for Tiller for whom the boys fell, And then thorefs Byers and else Meek It seems their hobby is to talk and talk. N is for N oble with a dimplod chin, Sho always weers the cutest grin, R is for Reber with dark brown heir, Wouldnft she and Thea make n great pair. t -5 S is for Smnts, e taxi he did drive, And also for Smith, Bill is her pride. SENIOR PROPH CY Time: 1950 Place: Cleveland, Ohio After graduation from Business College I became m stenoprapher in a law firm. During my tenure with the company I was forced to undergo an operation. I was taken to the city hospital und during my confinement R special nurse was called. Imagine my surprise when my old friend Florence Groh came as my special nurse. Immediately we began to talk of our school days at L. C. H. S. and what all of the Seniors of l938 were doing. It seemed as though Florence had kept in very close touch with many of them, so I relaxed :nd let har do the talking. She informed me that Marie Bender and Lonuld Tschinnen were married and were living en 1 firm after Donald had ended his faneus hpskotb ll cureer. Wendell Liehl joined the Navy and is making a greet nene for hinself as L navy pilot, Uilbcrne Gorton be- came e noted politician and just recently was elected nnyor of Creigville. His chances for future advancements seem good. Robert Green and Rey Shuts are both single but Ray persists in driving a Red Top Taxi so thit he cin still haul the girls around. Hhile we were engaged in our conversation Florence said, NBy the way, do you knew Roger Mayer is one of the operating surgeons in this hospital?n Imagine my surprise when he entered wearing his surgeon's uniform. We immediately began our discussion again and Roger being fezilinr with some of our classmates told us that Virgins Burger and Rosanna Myers were married and had families. Ruth Kiefer and Ruth Reber have formed e dramatic club and are touring the different states. So Dill Wasson finally married Irene Smith and Leon Hunt is considered one of the world's best magicians. Leonard Foster finished Theologicil Seminary ind is new a fully ordained Nazarene minister at Cssian, Indiana. Marthu Zirkle continued her schooling and is e 4-H club teacher in the Tells County Schools. nwhdt about Helen Noblegu Florence asked? HI haven't heard from her since the dey we graduated? nWhy,N Roger replied, nShe is teaching at the Murray Hivh 5cheol.u Jeno Milhollund was also married and she and her husband take cure of the Grphan's Home east of Bluffton. Betty Miller was appearing et the Mnjeetic Theatre on the Metropolitan Singers' program the lest week in the month end Max Mock was working forI'ntor- national Harvester Company in Fort Tayne. As it was getting lute Florence and Roger thought it necessary that they should be getting beck cn duty. They deported saying that they hoped to see some of their schoolmates of 1938 in the near future. . . . Leah Bickel
