t 'N Na h,LW,V 1 Celebrating the Harvest . . As we celebrate the seth year of our college, we can see that God has certainly blessed us. The college began as Lancaster School of the Bible in 1933 at the Old Conven- tion Hall building on Bast Orange Street. After about seven months, it relocated to what is now the lforney Apartments on Duke Street lleftl. LSB then went on to graduate its first class in 1936 lmiddle left is a photo of the 1937 graduating classl, and has since graduated many more. The alumni association has a membership at present of about 2100. Later, Lancaster School of the Bible moved to Mulberry Street and purchased a Dormitory on West Chestnut Street lbottom leftl, and finally established roots at the Esbenshade farm in Ianuary, 1958 Ibottom rightl. The farm which was donated by the I. Martin Esbenshade family has undergone many changes since that time and Cod continually blessed us. Indeed the 1983 ICHTHUS isa celebration ofthe boun- tiful harvest the Lord has allowed at Lancaster Bible College. As you reflect with us on the past 50 years, may you too be able to say with the Psalmist, The Lord hath done great things for us, whereof we are glad. lllleb ilpeerson Editor 3

MW x si, Dedication The class of 1983 has chosen to dedicate its yearbook to a professorand friend who is devoted to serving Christ. Her exuberance reflects the joy of the Lord in every way. Whether giving encouragement or motivating participation, her consistent example reminds us of her deep concern for each of us. This professor has meant much to our class by ex- emplifying a well-balanced Christian life. Deep in- sight, practical knowledge, unbounded enthusiasm, and a definite flair for creativity are qualities which characterize her. We realize this is a small token of our appreciation for a woman who has wholeheartedly given of herself to teach us, but we hope . . 'tis enough, 'twill serve. It is therefore our privilege to dedicate the 1983 ICHTHUS to our faithful friend and committed class advisor - Mrs. loan W. Tompkins if ffl
