LEASE Spiritual Life, Christian Evidences Church History ll Gen eral Epistles, Heresies Dear Graduates of l965: When Moses bade farewell to the Leaders of Israel just prior to his death, he reminded them of a God Who is both PREVIOUS and PRESENT. In referring to the forth-coming crossing of the Jordan, Moses stated in Deuteronomy 3l:3, The Lord thy God, he will go before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them. ln other words, God would be out ahead preparing the way before His people. But in addition to preparing the way before them, God also promised to iourney with them on the way. Moses reminded the people in Deuteronomy 3l:6, Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee: he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. ln this passage, God assures them of inner peace and stability because of His personal presence. Fear, frustration, and failure must all fade away in the victorious commanding presence of our Sovereign Saviour Jesus Christ. Be assured as you go forth that this God Who is PREVIOUS will be going before you to prepare the way for you and the same God who is PRESENT with you will prepare DB for the way He has chosen for you .
