Zhe freshmen Class Nancy Baker, Chaplain; Alma Redcay, Sec¬ retary-Treasurer; Milton Hicks, Vice Pres¬ ident; Jack Weisheier, President. Lead On, Oh King Eternal” --the beseeching hymn in the hearts and on the lips of the members of the Freshmen class. Praise be unto God for His guiding hand as we have been led here to prepare for His service! The class represents many walks of life, from numerous states of the union. But all have a fresh vision of Christ crucified-God’s perfect sacrifice for sinful men and a deep rooted desire to know Him and to make Him known. Oh, God, keep us steadfast in the faith, diligent, and not slothful in our King’s business but ever en¬ couraged by His Word and enabled by His Spirit! Class motto-- “Onward Ever Serving.” “Crimson and White” were the colors chosen by the class, significant of the cleansed heart through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son. President Jack Weisheier was chosen leader of the class, with vice-president, Milton Hicks; secretary- treasurer, Alma Redcay; and chaplain, Nancy Baker, as co-workers. Practical training included ministries at such places as the rescue mission, county home, and rural churches and Sunday Schools. Our Talents, Lord, are Thine” (class poem) — But Our sufficiency is of God” (class verse II Corinthians 3:5). We wish to say “Thank you” to the faculty for the many scholastic and spiritual blessings that have been ours because of their faithfulness in the ministry.
