President’s Message Dear Friends: My sincerest congratulations to you upon the oc¬ casion of your graduation from the Lancaster School of the Bible and School of Theology. Be assured of our continued remembrance of you all before the throne of grace inasmuch as we have you always in our heart. As a class you have chosen to be numbered among those who “declare plainly” they seek the fullest pos¬ sible exercise of their heavenly citizenship so long as they are strangers and pilgrims here on earth. This is a noble purpose - -to convert all living into a grand Christian Manifesto of faith, hope, and love. For this cause our prayer to God in your behalf is that He would give unto you an insatiable desire for spiritual things; that your capacity for God’s blessing may be equal to your opportunities for ser¬ vice; and that more and more your love for Christ might express itself as undeviating confidence and courage in the midst of this crooked and perverse generation. Your friend in Christ, Stuart P. Garver, Acting President Dear Graduates: “Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pil¬ grims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.” I Peter 2:11. The Bible depicts believers as pilgrims and strangers in this world. We do not have a permanent home here; our citizenship is in heaven. This is be¬ cause God wishes us to remember constantly our heavenly calling and to walk as befitting citizens of heaven. You are soon to leave Bible School. You will be stepping out from a sheltered haven to face the wrath of a hostile world. The truth of this passage will be emphasized over and over again in your life. I be¬ seech you to walk humbly before your God in fellow¬ ship with Him. The Christian walk is a fight. We are engaged in a continual warfare, not of blood against blood, but of soul and spirit against spiritual powers of darkness. Fleshly lusts war against our spiritual growth into maturity. If we are to be victorious in this battle we must abstain from fleshly lusts. They sap our spiritual strength and cause us to fall prostrate before the enemy. Beloved I Take your stand. Do not allow anything to distract your attention from Him. Paul C. Wilt Dean Dean ’s M ess age

Zhe School Administration The Board of Trustees con¬ sists of ten persons elected by the Corporation to serve for a period of two years. The board meets regularly each month as required by the Constitution. However, many times, because of the urgency of pressing prob¬ lems the board convenes two or three times a month. Meetings continue throughout the sum¬ mer months while the school is in recess. The average meeting lasts about two and one-half hours. All meetings begin with the reading of the Word of God followed by a season of prayer when each trustee asks God for wisdom in making decisions. The blessing of the Lord is also sought for the students, faculty members and the alum¬ ni. After the devotional period the business session begins. The duties of the Board of Trustees are to control and to manage the affairs of the school. Some of the items this would include are: The making of investments; the buying of property; care and maintenance of existing properties; appropriation of money for specific purposes; promotional work and planning of all types; decisions on the number of faculty members needed; their spiritual and academic qualifications; and the rate of remuneration for their services. Major discipline prob¬ lems are also handled by the board. Emory G. Wilt, Ernest P. Reisinger, Martin Esbenshade, Lester M. Weaver, Chairman, James R. Landis, Edward G.
