A boys' quartette composed of Rody Rahn, Wayne Martin, James Pettinger, and Byron Hawbecker also received third place at the annual contest. They sang The Angel and The Imp. THIRTY-NINE

They worked very hard on the songs they sang for Vespers, which were Come, Spirits, 'Tis His Day and The Cradle Song. The songs which Won them second place in contest were Lift Thine Eyes and Come, Spirits, 'Tis His Day. The Chorus also took part in the Union Thanksgiving services, singing A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. Elinor Isenberer placed second in her vocal group with Songs My Mother Taught Me, and The Two Magicians. THIRTY-EIGHT

At the Christmas Vespers their mellow voices rang out with Shepherd Awake and Low How A Rose. Appearing at the spring contest, they sang Psalm 134, Cou1dn't Hear Nobody Pray and Innsbruck, I Now Must Leave Thee, which Won them sec- ond place. The following Madrigal group also appeared at the spring contest, bringing home a first place rating and earning a trip to the state contest.
