It give s the student a taste of what high school life will be and sends him off with three precious credits toward his diploma. Junior High has truly developed its traditions and spirit. Our GYM is the scene of many events in our school life. The Junior-Senior Banquet is held in it, and our basketball teams play their best in it. The Gym plays a vital part in our recreation. Schwertner, and has s tead ily climbed in popularity, scope, and membership from a small group of twelve to its present number of thirty-three. The Chorus Special- izes in all types of music from the classical and beautiful Jesu, Joy of lx4an's Desiringu to the m or e flippantand catchy modern songs. Special music is usually performed dur- ing the entire year with ernphasis at the C h r i s tm a s and Easter seasons.
