They made a good record for next year's HBH team to shoot at.EQ The Cardinal WAN team played twenty-three games, winning fourteen and losing nine.3l They added three second-place trophies to the trophy case this year. These tro-Eg phies were won in the Verdigris Valley League, the County Tournament, and the Dis+3 trict Tournament. This was the second time in the history of Lamont that the teamil 1 Fredonia, three of the first-string men fouled out and one received an injury.ff Had it not been for these unfortunate occurances, the results of the Howard-LamontFy game in this tournament might have been different. They arrived in time, however, to be used in thefaf ffirst game of the season, with Elmdale. The suits are a flashy, white nylon satinii 5withsNLamontW spelled out in red felt down both sides of the trunks. New redfu gjerseys also were purchased to be alternated with the white. il P L . .,. 1 NEW SCOREBOARD T X 5 The new scoreboard was received on December 23 and was placed in the audi-iw' -torium at the east end above the stage. In the center of the board is a largefa lem .clock which automatically causes a horn to blow at the end of the eight-minutetw 1 wit quarters. To either side are squares which show the scores of the home and visit- Q Qing teams. Along the bottom of the board are four squares which light up to showgj ,the quarter in progress. The scoreboard is controlled from the officials' bench.,e' N About 375 was donated toward paying for the board by the people of the com-'Qi fmunity early in the season. Everyone agrees that the new scoreboard isla great ai improvement over the old, Wby-handn method, and one of which members of the school EQ .and community have right to be proud. EQ TENNIS - f During the spring of 1957 the tennis courts, which had not been used for a if IQ' gon one of them. Two nets, four rackets, and a if gnumber of balls were purchased with money from the athletic fund.
