The initation may have been one principal factors in making these students such a strong and determined The first week was very fearful and terrifying for all. The boys, Lee Blanch, Bill Sauder, Ray Evans, Gene Fank-1s 'lv .. yghauser, and Raymond Luthi, wore dresses and costume jewelry. During the day these v?5same persons were required to do many undignified things by the upper classmen. H' 4 ,JJ Iii iii - ,K?however, their tribulations were not ended. ' That evening they were sent throughQQ jgithe paddling line and fed various concoctions. With the performance of theseig jiideeds, they became full-fledged members of the student body. .Mr. C. W. Ruby Norris was the class sponsor.fQ .QQA Halloween party was given that year. gq HQ it lm This class progressedto the third year ofhigh school and gained two studentsgi, jg Jack Stair, a former marine, and Joe Stair, who previously had attended school atrj hiMadison. The sponsor was Mr. W. W. Wilks. These students had been looking for-QQ gQQward to the Junior-Senior Banquet, which was a huge seniors to dinner in the Blue Room of the Broadview warner all attended the Granada Theater. Jack Stair was no longer attending School since he had graduatedfl qgywith the last year's seniors by taking a special examination for veterans. The seniors are planning to take a tripti uyiscon after the end of school this spring. Rita Adams, who discovers an honest-to-goodness mystery, was playedgg by Mary Winzelerg Deborah Arnold the harassed hostess of the Nowhere Tourist Campga wifi' 1 ,.- if by Phyllis Ott, Alice Arnold, her daughter who falls in love with a suspected rob-gg fggiber, by Donna Winzelerg T. P. Jones, a detective, by Bill Sauder, Frank Robins,55 egg who is a movie star and is hiding his identity, by Ray Evans, Bradford Smythe aid -'igimysterious gentleman, by Ray Luthi, narvey Lawrence, Mr. Robin's assistant, by Leaf? ifaslanckg and a woman of mystery, by Nellie Schuhs. it Q35 'Nowhere Fastn was a 5-act mystery-comedy by Van Wallen. The play was directedfi itfby Mr. Tom Saffell. Specialities were given between acts by the Girls' Gleetj QQ Club dressed in their new pastel formals and directed by Mrs. Lois B.
