The years went by; the years went past, And '73 is here at last. Now that all is said and done, United we stand as a new one. Old L.H.S. has done her thing, But no more will her school bells ring. 2 MRS. When we met the first day of school We swore together by the Golden Rule Cause you wouldn’t do unto others What you wouldn't want done to you; you've got to be a fool. Refrain Then we started the second grade Mrs. Collins had her plans made Reading, writing, and arithmetic Taught to the tune of a metal stick. Refrain Mrs. Bobbitt was a good old gal She was every little kiddies pal We didn't do much in that old class But don't you know, we all did pass. Refrain There's old Richard a chewing that glue Mrs. Reed was sick but what could she do We told him a horse died for that glue But all he could say was whoopeedoo. Refrain In the fifth grade we learned the rest When our teacher was Mrs. S. We made clay monsters and mobiles, too She said that our class should be in a zoo. Refrain And now we come to our last year Of any more teachers we need not fear Then little Soucek came here to stay And the class hasn't been the same to this day. 16 Refrain When we started roaming around the halls My how we thought we knew it all We kept all the teachers on the toss Cause we were going to show them just, who was boss. Refrain The following year we didn't want to miss Graduation and our first kiss We worked hard to get a homecoming date We thought teenage life was really great. Refrain When we were old enough to make ninth grade We were old enough to join FFA The girls were learning to make a dress And we thought their initiation day, was a mess. Refrain In the tenth grade came Drivers Ed. With Mr. Dwyer we were way ahead Carla hit her favorite pet, a skunk We could smell it all the way through the trunk. Refrain This year work was our own thing Trash hauls, bake sales, and Jr. Rings Plays, Proms and Track meets too - This helped make our Jr. year not so blue. Refrain Our Senior year has come at last We look to the future, not to the past As we grow close to Graduation Day Let's all shake hands and go our separate ways. 17 LAMONT HARDWARE Lamont COLE FLORAL Tonkawa MOODY'S CAFE Lamont GEORGE CHRIST MOTOR CO Pond Creek R.
