We finally entered the big high school building that we had been waiting for, for six years. We were really proud in junior high when we became the undefeated football team of '54. We got to take part in all the different activities. We found out how smart we were when we got our first grades. Some of us were disappointed, others happy. Then came the big day---we became Freshmen and full-fledged Demons. In our Sophomore year some became cheerleaders and some were elected as differ- ent officers ofthe activities. For our last class party we went all out and had a variety show. As Juniors, we felt we made two big accomplishments, the Jr.-Sr. Banquet, which we felt was a great success, and the Junior Play, The Inner Willy. Finally, we are Seniors, and have ended our years of school memories with some working on the annual, some being president of their organization, senior placement test, senior play, Jr.-Sr. Banquet in our honor, and graduation. All these things go together to complete our collection of school memories which will be carried with us through the years. W T- Q X

O CE UPON A TIME i I r 7 1 i 1 3 l In the year of l946, the history of the '59 Demons began. The experiences of these years in school, when combined, make up many unforgettable memories. Kindergarten was the beginning of these memories. Here we tried to get over the habits of sucking thumbs, wetting pants, and crying for mamma. Some of us had quite a time and many trials and errors before we became experts. Every year, each grade took part in our activity programs and each year at the end of school we took part in the May Festival. In second grade we learned to mind our teacher, for every time anyone got out of place the results were quite hard: knuckles hit by a ruler, hair pulled, no recess or staying in after school, or some other bad consequence. Cur printing was changed to writing in third grade. We began having girl and boy friends and receiving love notes in secrecy. Our favorite game was when the girls were locked in iail and could get out only with a kiss. Fourth, fifth, and sixth grade was a big advancement. We took part in Grade School Student Council, got to work in the library, and best of all, we got to play on the big playground . - :-
