If You Could See Me Now Is The Theme Of Miss Lambuth Pageant If You Could See Me Now was the theme of the 1987 Miss Lambuth Pageant, which was held on February 22 at Tigrett Junior High School. Kris Beasley, Miss Tennessee 1987, was the featured entertainer. The Mistress of ceremonies was Jana Lee McDaniel Ellis, a past Miss Lambuth. Paige Durrett, Miss Lambuth 1986, Lambuth ' s Kaleidoscope and Jazz Band, and Vickie Dennison ' s Academy of Dance also provided entertainment. During the pageant, eight contestants competed for the title of Miss Lambuth 1987. Contestants were Janice Gottshall, Memphis; Kim Williams, Memphis; Kippi Foote, Jackson; Jennifer Harrison, Pinson; Valencia Por- ter, Memphis; April Smith, Memphis; and Robin Ras- berry, Memphis. The contestants competed in four categories: indi- vidual interviews, talent, evening gown, and swimsuit. For her talent the new Miss Lambuth, Kippi Foote, sang That ' s What Friends Are For. Albee Production Highlights Theatrical Season The third play of the 1986-87 Lambuth College Theater Season, held on February 25-28, was Who ' s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? This slice-of-life drama by Edward Albee deals with the story of a middle-aged college professor who is confronted with mid-life crisis and is caught in the throws of a bad marriage. The cast of Who ' s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? ' ' included Tia Sillers as Martha, Bill Morgan as George, Jack Seabury as Nick, and Joan Furrila as Honey. Mr. Jesse Byrum, Director of the Lambuth Theatre, di- rected this production. Campus Life 19
