Lambuth Honors Fine Arts Students Not only students in the Art department received honors at the Arts Appreciation Banquet which was held in the Col- onial Room on April 16 but also students in Theater, In- terior Design, Fashion Merchandising, Kaleidoscope, Jazz and Concert Bands and Choir. Bill Morgan captured the prestigious Best Actor Award for his title role in The Foreigner. Best Supporting actor was Paul Sherrod. Tia Sillers captured the Best Actress Award for her portrayal of Adela in The House of Bernarda Alba and the Best Sup- porting Actress Award went to Melissa Watkins. Jett Wherry won the Work Horse Award. Cited were six art students for outstanding performance and service. Receiving honors for academic achievement were Mark Archer, stained glass; Debra Murray, drawing; Charles Priddy, commercial art; and David Burns, drawing and design. Service Awards went to Katherine Jackson, Home Economics major and David Ingram, Interior Design major. Poetry awards given to outstanding contributors to the Coffeehouse Papers were Sherry Lynn Crump, Tia Sillers, Sharon Poat, and Allen Tubb. The Drawing Award went to Charles Priddy and the Graphic Arts Award to David Burns. Seniors honored for years of service in the Concert Choir, Concert Band, Jazz Band and Kaleidoscope were Paul T. Jackson, Thad Bonczar, Glenn Ward, Charles Priddy, Sally Doyle, Willie Fraser, Jerome Studard, Richard Dismukes, Jeannie Lee, Chip Jackson, Marti Jo Dorris, Beth Hartman, Gay Carole Lester, Clayton Pattat, Debbie Thompson, and Susanna Ling.
