Lambuth Crowns Its Queen The 1986 Miss Lambuth Pageant centered around the theme Up Where We Belong. On Sunday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m., at Tigrett Junior High School, the following eight beautiful and talented Lambuth women competed for the Miss Lambuth crown: De Etta Gray, creative dancer; Paige Durrett, vocalist; Jenny Harrison, vocalist; Kathy Kiser, vocalist; Tammy Lee, vocalist; Lisa Mountain, pianist; Valencia Porter, clarinetist; and Kim Williams, vocalist. Mistress of ceremonies was Jana McDaniel Ellis, Miss Lambuth 1975. Entertainment featured Miss Mary Newpart, Miss Lambuth 1985; Miss Sonya Elizabeth Pleasant, Miss Ten- nessee 1985; Kaleidoscope, Marcia Mit- telstadt, Director; and The Lambuth College Jazz Band, Richard L. Brown, Director. After delightful entertainment, much excitement, and impressive competition, Paige Durrett became Miss Lambuth 1986 with Kathy Kaiser first runner-up, Kim Williams second runner-up, and Jenny Harrison third runner-up.
