Springtime Is Busy for Theatre The Lambuth Theatre ' s fir st production of 1975 was the drama Ghosts. The play by Heinrik Ibsen dealt with society ' s taboos, as well as dead conventions that can weigh down a society. The cast was headed by Marsha Coleman as the intellectually emancipated Mrs. Alving and Chris Sterling as Oswald, her dying son. Under the direction of Mr. Newton Neely, the cast of five exhibited fine acting and excellent characterizations throughout the five-day run. The final production of the year was Neil Simon ' s Barefoot in the Park, directed by Mr. Jesse Byrum. Chikita Wallace and Toney Walsh portrayed a newlywed couple besieged by both an interfering mother-in-law and an interfering neighbor. The three-act comedy marked the close of a very suc- cessful Lambuth Theatre season. Following the final production was the Fine Arts Banquet and the presen- tation of Drama Awards.
