THE. MAW FACES OF WMBUH The front view of Amos W. Jones Hall might, with all jus- tification, be called the visitors ' view as . . . this view, with just reason, may be referred to as the students ' view. Luther L. Gobbel Library was first oc- cupied in 1961. It is a modern, air- conditioned facility which houses book, periodical, and reference collections, li- brarian ' s offices, study rooms, seminar rooms, a treasure room and a prayer room. The fourth floor provides space for the audio-visual room and the lan- guage laboratory. .■■ - t I i ' ■ i f. .. i ' 1 i V . ■■■ J jjjj. l yji The student center, built as a temporary structure in 1958, is being re- placed by a new ultramodern building adjoining the J. A. Williamson Dining Hall. A familiar spot to Lambuth students, the plaza behind the student center, is seldom deserted.

Lambuth Memorial Chapel, built in 1957, is an entirely air-conditioned building used for worship, drama, and chapel services. The chemistry lab view of the library, Sprague and Harris halls. 18

Harris Hall, an air-conditioned residence hall for Upperclasswomen, ac- commodates 122 students. Sprague Hall, the residence hall for Freshman women, was erected in 1953. Epworth Hall, the residence hall for Freshman men, was built in 1929-30 and renovated in 1960. The Richard E. Womack Physical Education Building, constructed in 1947-48, is a beau- tiful brick structure which houses classrooms, offices, shower rooms and the gymnasium. The Men ' s New Dormitory, an air-conditioned residence hall for Upperclassmen, was first occupied in 1959. 20
