srrom Jhe presidents rJ-Jedk Thanks to students, parents, preachers and laymen of the Memphis Conference, faculty, trustees, alumni, and other friends of Lambuth everywhere, the year 1955-1956 may be remembered for advancement, growth, and development. We gratefully take pride in what, through the cooperative efforts and sacrificial contributions of many, has been achieved. Investments made here, in the opinion of national educational leaders who have made careful studies of what has been done, have been wisely used, and it is their opinion and ours that our educational program is progressing along sound and fruitful lines. The growing prestige of Lambuth is reflected in many significant ways, not the least of which is by the fall ' s enrollment increase of over 35 per cent. It is to serve more students better that we Qre dedicated. It is my sincere hope that students and others who, by honest effort and diligent application to the business at hand, have earned the right to do so, may look back upon this year with great satisfaction and look ahead with increasing confidence and genuine joy in service.
