Hilarious Success 317 The Cardinal Theatre's first production of the 1968- 69 season was the popular Broadway musical, Once Upon a Mattress. The Lamar group played to full houses all four nights and secured favorable responses from the students and faculty as well as local critics. The production was under the direction of Dr. S. Walker James, with White A. Jacob as technical director, Mrs. Vera Campbell as costumer, and Rebecca Obenauf as choreographer.
