Flying Club The purpose of the Lamar Tech Flying Club is to promote safe aviation at a lower cost to pilots through the formation of a non-profit organization. Members include students and townspeople. Sponsors are Lamar faculty members Gordon D. Cole and Dr. Sterling C. Crim. The group was organized locally in April of 1966. Officers are William Russell Demler, treasurerg and Samuel Dwayne Catalina, president. Not pictured, Joel Zachary Taylor, vice-president, Donald Wesley Babin, secretary.
