Little All-America Bobby .lancik BOBBY JANCIK Haltback - 2VL -- Senior AP Little All-America Williamson Mid-Bracket All-America All Texas College Team NAIA Little All-America All-LSC Halfback Harold Patlitt, left, Associated Press Sports Editor, presents an AP Little All- America certificate to Bobby .lancik at the Football Awards Banquet. Jancik is the second Cardinal football player to receive Little All-America honors. The Cardinals, successful completion of the 1961 football season and their selection as participants in the Tangerine Bowl was due in no small way t0 their outstanding halfback, Little All-America Bobby Jancik. The Rosenberg Flash, unheralded before the season got underway, set the drums to beating with his performance against Northeast Louisiana in the opener. Bobby gathered touchdown passes of 65 and 55 yards and scored on a run as he led his teammates to a comeback victory over the Indians. In the Stephen F. Austin game, he uncorked probably the most spectacular carry ever seen Ht Greenie Stadium as he zig-zagged 47 yards through the bewildered Lumber- jacks to paydirt. An exceptionally versatile athlete, Bobby also competed in track and field and tennis. The Houston Oiler Football team signed Bobby upon graduation and he intends to see whether or not a professional football career is to his taste. S Hom
