Chi Gamma Iota Chi Gamma Iota is a national fraternity for ex-servicemen who have served at least six months of active duty in the United States Armed Forces and have been honorably discharged or released. A minimum of 90 days of service is required of those receiving a medical discharge. The first XGI chapter was organized after World War II at the University of Texas.
