Michael Edwin Aldredge James H. Partin, Jr. American Institute of Industrial Engineers The American Institute of Industrial Engineers was founded in Columbus, Ohio, on December 19, 1958. The local chapter at Lamar was founded in the Fall of 1951. The Institute's purpose is to promote a better understand- ing of Industrial Engineering principles, to represent Industrial Engineering students of Lamar State College of Tech- nology in all campus activities, to disseminate technical, scientific and professional attitude among the members, to cultivate fraternal feeling among the members, and to encourage members to obtain their individual registrations by Texas or whatever state they may locate in, as Registered Professional Engineers as rapidly as possible.
