Alpha Psi Omega Cardinal Theatre The purpose of the Cardinal Theatre is to Lprovide interested students at Lamar with the opportunity to participate in various phases of theater productions, an by so doing, it functions with the Speech Department as a producing organization for drama. Alpha Psi Omega is a national honorary dramatic fraternity whose members are drawn from outstanding participants in Cardinal Theatre productions. Michael Edwin Aldredge James H. Partin, Jr. American Institute of Industrial Engineers The American Institute of Industrial Engineers was founded in Columbus, Ohio, on December 19, 1958. The local chapter at Lamar was founded in the Fall of 1951. The Institute's purpose is to promote a better understand- ing of Industrial Engineering principles, to represent Industrial Engineering students of Lamar State College of Tech- nology in all campus activities, to disseminate technical, scientific and professional attitude among the members, to cultivate fraternal feeling among the members, and to encourage members to obtain their individual registrations by Texas or whatever state they may locate in, as Registered Professional Engineers as rapidly as possible.
