Long, right, seems undisturbed by these antics. The Pre-Med Club was founded in 1942 at Lamar Tech to foster an interest in medicine and its related fields. Professional speakers appear at the bimonthly meetings and annual field trips are made to the medical and dental schools of the Gulf Coast. Once a month, meetings of the group feature lectures, debates, or entertainment. The international host Families oF Beaumont were fetecl at an Oriental Dinner in the spring by members of the group. Dr. Iames Cox, Ir., Fauzy Chareeb, Naim Serhan, Aram Vartanian, Sehir Tarhan, Eawzi Khawly, and Ptaif Nadet outline plans for the IVIEYO Oriental Dinner. Mrs. Hugh Fay of KPAC-TV, standing, right, showed members of the Lamar Writers Workshop how to prepare a television commercial. Activities during the year included a hayride, beach party, and the sponsoring of a Hdunking booth in the LT Jubilee Carnival. A program of intra- mural sports is provided for club members. Bob G.
