VVinte'rs, Ill Alpha Phi Omega President George McLaughlin Sponsor Director ol' Student Activities The Student Association had a memorable year, combining the best events olf previous seasons with several new activities to foster ideas and enthusiasm among the students and to cement better faculty-student relations. The Association headed the I-lomecoming Committee and gave the campus a new spring activity, the LT jubilee. Great Issues forums, the new Last Lecture Series, Sunday afternoon entertainment for dormitory students, and free motion pictures were other projects of the Lamar Tech student government body. The last, but probably the most important, contribution of the Association was the proposal of bicameral student government through a new constitution. The student body adopted the proposed document in April and elected officers to serve under this system.
