The most indispensable ingredient of a student's eduvational future' is his teavhm-r. Who can say how many of our great writers, painters, scientists of to- morrow will look back to some particular teacher who guided him away from the dark abyss of medioc- rity toward the bright light of excellence? Who can say how many future world leaders are learning the lessons of history today from a dedicated teacher who instills the belief that we can and must learn from the errors of yesterday for a better tomorrow? 10 FA CULTY TO THE STUDENTS OF LAMAR: As this school year draws to a close, it is time to reflect upon the many experi- ences you have had. l hope what you have learned this year will help you to face the many challenges that lie ahead of you. If the immediate future requires greater competence of our adult society, as we are sure it will, our faith remains firm that todayls young people have the capacity and willingness to achieve this added skill and knowledge. You must continue your learning process for growth, take a personal responsi- bility for your country, and rise to any task which confronts you.
