T WEN T Y years ago the doors of Mira- beau B. Lamar Senior High School opened under the guidance of William J. Moyes and J. Herbert Wright. New stars sent their lus- ter down a luminous pathway between the firmament and the Earth. The Earth bodies were strong and valiant and steady with hands reaching for the stars. The pathway seemed straight and clear. Ambition, energy, power added zest as the years rolled on. The light rays gathered brilliance and color, and their streamers broadened and glowed. Hon- ors and success accrued in many fields, as the uplifted hands of faculty and students reached ever higher and higher to the blue of the celestial bodies and toward the glow of an unattainable goal of TRUTH and LIGHT. 6

By stars we mean the best facets of life- life with its growth and its experiencesa with its dreams which now and then reach beyond the stars.
