To Mr. William f. Moyes We pay a just proof of our admiration and loyalty. Such richness of genius as he possesses does not often exist in a man. He is a learned and gracious scholar. Yet, he has common sense and logic, a faith in the laws of man, and a belief that experience must follow, not lead the laws of the mind. He has pluck, he dares to be of his own opinion, and he can say directly yes or 110. lle has a belief in the existence of two sides and the resolution to see fair play. His singular fairness and its results have made Lamar High School a pleasant place to live. Confident that no school has a better principal, the Students delight to bring to Lamar the victories which lie with the courage, strength, and endurance of the individual combatants.
