Winning Spirit Returns! The Lamar Silver Foxes have brought back the winning spirit to Lamar. The football team worked very hard to accomplish this goal. They spent a week of hard work at football camp and have spent long hours on the practice field. The Foxes ended the season with a successful 6-3-1 record. Winning five of their six conference games, the Silver Foxes became conference runners-up, giving them the chance to advance to the state play-offs. The Foxes faced a well-prepared Cardinal-Newman team, winners of their conference in the first round of the state play-offs. Our boys displayed a strong defense and a sufficient offense but were unable to defeat the Cardinals. Although the Foxes didn’t obtain victory in the first round of the play-offs, they displayed good character and a bit of class. The Silver Foxes have everything to be proud of.
