PEARL FLOWERS Pearl Post Graduate Student Class History As time marches on. mark :her milestone in the history of . He re we are seniors ! our lives. An important one it is, too Now time goes back to September 3, 1952; our first year in high school. Thirty-five frightened freshmen enter Mrs. Shields Connor's home room to begin a four year climb to our diplomas. Fall of 1953! A whole school year has passed. We are sopho- mores in a new school building with Mr. Claude McMillan and Mrs. Garon Whitaker as our home room teachers. Our class has now in- creased to forty-eight members since the Lake Swamp and Lydia stud- g ko t,« inina 1 lie with much to look forward to--class rings, The Junior Play, and The Junior-Senior Banquet! Each is a highlight of the year. We still have forty-eight m e m b e r s in our class. The year progresses with Mr. Claude McMillan and Miss Lucy Rasheed as our sponsors. The last mile has been run. It is the 1955-56 school session, and we are seniors with hands outstretched toward our diplomas. During these four years we have spent happy and sad hours. Our climb has not been a bed of roses. Toevery one who has helped guide us through the years, we humbly offer our thanks and appreciation even though, at times, we seemed very undeserving. F or the Seniors of'56, we hope this book will hold the key to everlasting memories of the wonderful times we have spent together.
