Pl Q L CG3llfllllOlll'S As the end of the year grew nearer, seniors began to look at LHS from a different view--that of a graduate. We remembered all the things we had done in our four years and realized that they were now only memories. Looking back, it seems such a short time ago when we enrolled as freshmen. Initiation and the Big and Little Sister Picnic were some of our first activities. That year we did our part to help take State in basketball, become District Champs in wrestling and League champs in baseball. Studies were harder, but the fun made up for that. A5 sophomores we Chose our rings and were well represented in all activities. We were represented on the State Champion football team, State Run- ner-up basketball team, District Co-champion wrestling team and State Champion Track team. Then as juniors we all entered into the magazine sales to set a record profit. Our play was S-gr, Beware! Several of us became members of the National Honor Society, Thespians, and Sasi. Our boys were part of the wrestling team which took League and District, and the baseball team and track team, which were State runners-up. We climaxed this year with our prom, Some Enchanted Eve- ning. Our senior year, like the others was exciting. We chose our class flower, the Pom Pom, and motto: It matters not how long we live, but how! We were State runners-up in football and bas- ketball. We broke the State Basketball Tournament scoring record by racking up 108 points in the semi-finals. Our class play was Stranger in the Night. We were honored by the juniors at their prom, Bon Voyage. We had a wonderful time at Star Ranch, appreciating it more because we were to be the last class from LHS to spend a senior trip there. Then came baccalaureate and com- mencement which ended our four years as Lamar High School students.
